This is a brand re-design/Menu Board re-design project for Dune Dogz & Treatz in Holland, MI. This is a restaurant located right off of the beautiful Ottawa beach and they offer outdoor seating. It is a must-see stop when visiting the area.

As for my design process, I started off by deciding on a theme. I decided to go with a retro diner vibe and tie in some rubber hose styled illustrations. I had been previously drawing characters in that style for fun so this felt like the perfect opportunity to use them. As I drew out my character, I re-designed the logo into the same style to push the branding even further. After getting all my content together, it was time to start organizing everything into different sections for the menu board and lay it all out. I did use a grid to help me align certain areas, but I also wanted to keep a more natural feeling. I wanted everything to fit together but not feel forced.
